What to write about

• Corrections. A symbol meaning that clashes with the standard, or a stain method that a primary source contradicts — send the source if you have it. Corrections take priority over everything else.
• Symbol requests. A label combination the decoder doesn't cover, or a US-market variant you can't place.
• Stain guide requests. We cover the six most common; tell us which one ruined your week and it goes on the list.
• Printable feedback. If the cheat sheet prints badly on your printer, tell us the model and paper size.
• Privacy enquiries. See the privacy policy first; anything unresolved, email us.

What we can't help with

We can't appraise garments, settle dry-cleaner disputes, or give advice on specific fabrics sight-unseen — the guides on this site are general reference, not a consulting service. For a valuable garment in trouble, a good local dry cleaner who can touch the fabric will always beat an email.

Response time is usually a few days; this is a small independent site, run alongside real laundry.
